Orange City Manager Dr. Shawn Oubre presided over installation of new officers and directors for the Orange Rotary Club for the 2017-2018 term.
Oubre, in his remarks, offered the clubs gratitude to outgoing President Joel Steirman for his service.
The club recognized Steirman with a 33 year perfect attendance award presented by Gracie Henry, executive secretary.
Steve Augillard accepted the gavel as incoming president.
Augillard reminded the club of the Rotary International initiative for this year, Making A Difference.
Augillard noted the work of Rotary International in its work fighting polio worldwide, noting there are only five reported cases worldwide.
Local Rotarians are making a difference in Orange with their scholarship program, participation in the Orange County Back To School drive, establishment of an Interact Club on the LC-M campus and other community initiatives.
