The Life of Mr. Elias Gobert, 83, of Orange will be celebrated during a Resurrection Mass, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Orange.

Rites of Christian Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Orange under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am.

He died June 30^th at Helping Hands Assisted Living Home in Orange.

Residing in Orange since 1955, he was the retired owner of Gobert Farms.

A member of St. Therese Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Knights of Peter Claver for more than 50 years.

Survivors include 2 sons, Boniface Gobert (Carol) of Orange, and Frank Gobert of Port Arthur, TX, 4 daughters, Angela Gobert and Angeline Gobert, both of Orange, Sheila Metoyer(Brian) and Jennifer Bennett (Kerry), both of Beaumont, TX, 4 sisters, Mathilda Guillory of Jonesboro, GA, MaeDell Bellard of Houston, TX, Aline Orphy (Allen) of Iowa, LA, and Mary Elizabeth Malveaux (Perkins) of Lake Charles, LA, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters-in-law, Alma Thibodeaux of Orange, Ann Collins of Orenda, CA, and Angel Gobert of Houston.
