Two Search Warrants and one Traffic Stop

PRESS RELEASE — On June 27, 2017 City of Orange Police Department executed two search warrants simultaneously in the city of Orange.  The warrants were served at 635 and 641 Bridal Wreath at 11:08PM.  The warrants were in response to drug and violent actives that had been present in the area.  The search warrants were executed by Orange County SWAT, Orange PD Patrol and Detective Divisions and West Orange PD.  Two persons were arrested from the two house.  Jamie Duplechaine, arrested for possession of controlled substance and one JP #4 traffic warrant.  Jason Cates was arrested for one JP #1 traffic warrant.  Drugs and a weapon were located during the search warrants.

At 11:01 PM, minutes before the two search warrants were executed, Orange PD, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents and Orange SO officers conducted a traffic stop in the 5600 blk of IH-10 service road.  The stop resulted in the arrested of two persons that live at 635 Bridal Wreath and 641 Bridal Wreath.  The arrested were Chase Von Wendt (w/m/07-15-1989) and Steven Milton Ringer (w/m/07-12-1986).

Chase Von Wendt was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, two (2) counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of synthetic marijuana and three Orange Municipal court traffic warrants.  Steven Ringer was charged with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), credit/debit card abuse warrant, two Pinehurst traffic warrants and two Orange Municipal traffic warrants.  During the traffic stop drugs and a weapon was recovered.

All arrested persons were transported to Orange County jail and booked without incident.
