Vidor Council member Misty Songe has taken the Mayor’s Challenge to clean up the city.

Vidor Mayor Robert Viator held a community clean up project in May and challenged Vidor Council members to do the same in problem areas within their wards.

“It’s cleaning up our town,” Songe said. “I accept the Mayor’s Challenge. There are areas in my ward in need of some help.”

To help get those areas cleaned up, Songe is hosting Ward 3 Community Clean up from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday.

Those interested in participating in the clean up efforts, you are encouraged to meet in the parking lot of Family Dollar at 115 West Bolivar Street in Vidor.

“Let’s get our town cleaned up one Ward at a time,” Songe said.
