A juvenile was arrested for carrying a concealed handgun and possession of marijuana on Friday.

Orange Police officers were dispatched at 5:28 p.m. Friday to the 1400 block of Main Ave. in Orange in reference to a male carrying a firearm. When the two officers arrived they located two males at the location.

Officer Mulhollan asked one male if he had anything illegal on his person. The male said yes and the officer located a 9 mm semi automatic handgun with a loaded magazine and a round in the chamber in the young man’s short’s waistband.

Officer Roy placed the handcuffed juvenile in the back of the patrol vehicle.

A short while later, a baggie containing marijuana was discovered on the floorboard near the individual.

The juvenile was transported to Minnie Rogers Juvenile Facility.

He is charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon Class A and Possession of Marijuana Class B.
