OKLAHOMA CITY — Former Vidor High School softball standout Keeli Milligan has been a key cog for Texas A&M University the past two years and the sophomore outfielder and her teammates’ hard work has paid off as the Lady Aggies are participating in the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City this week.

Milligan has certainly been a sparkplug as A&M’s leadoff hitter and a standout for sure in the outfield.

Milligan has hit .324 in the leadoff spot in helping the Lady Aggies to a 47-11 record.

She made key plays at the plate and in the field last week as the Lady Aggies downed Tennessee in the Super Regionals. The Lady Aggies dropped Game One of that series 8-1 before rebounding to take 6-5 and 5-3 wins to move to the World Series.

The Lady Aggies took on Southeastern Conference rival Florida in the first round of the double elimination World Series Thursday.

Milligan has scored 31 runs this season and leads the squad with 22 stolen bases.

Last season as a freshman, Milligan hit .379 and led the team with 59 runs, 75 hits and 54 steals.
