Orange Council member Larry Spears Jr. challenged the 1st-5th grade West Orange Stark Elementary students in January to give 112-percent for the rest of the school year. The children met the challenge and were rewarded with a pizza party on Monday with 70 pizzas. Michael Smith, Mary Ekene, Betty Curtis, and Ruth Hancock were among the many people who helped pass out pizza to the students. Spears hopes to bring the challenge to every school in the area.
