It’s quite a visit when diners venture out to Two Amigos Restaurant.

Not only do they walk out with full bellies, they tend to remember the great atmosphere as well.

The restaurant continues to thrive after moving from their location on 16th Street to 2308 Lutcher Drive.

Managers Alfonso Martinez and Maynor Rivas are always there with smiles on their faces to greet customers and to offer tremendous hospitality.

The move to the new location has been fruitful as the new location is a much bigger building.

“Business has been doing really well, “ said Martinez. “We’ve been here for over six months now and we have much more space now.”

The Mexican food served at Two Amigos has been known for its freshness and their mixed drinks have been considered “devine” according to customers.

They have an array of items on the menu. They include delicious appetizers, enchilada dinners, Fiesta Platters, grilled dinners that includes seafood selection, a kids menu and daily lunch specials.

The restaurant is proud to support all of the local schools in the area by sporting logos of schools along with putting up news clippings and awards that local schools have been honored with.

‘We love the area and we enjoy supporting them in any way we can,” said Martinez. “The community has given so much to us by supporting our business and we’re we feel really blessed.”

Two Amigos is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

“We offer a little bit of everything on our menu,” said Rivas. “We take pride at bringing the best to the table. Our food is freshly cooked daily and we take a lot of pride about keeping our restaurant clean.”

Martinez and Rivas have gotten to know the locals well over the years as bonds have been formed. They know a lot of families by their names.

“We have a bunch of regulars that we love to death and they’re like family,” said Rivas. “We like to make sure that we keep a family atmosphere.”

The wait staff treats every customer the same.

“We want everyone to come hungry and leave with a great experience,” said Rivas. “No one is treated like they are a celebrity, we want to be everyone’s friend. We’ve had Earl Thomas (Seattle Seahawks safety and West Orange-Stark product) and he really likes the atmosphere. People can come here and just be themselves.”

Waitress Taylor Sonnier has been at Two Amigos and loves working there.

“I haven’t been here long but I’ve been able to meet some great people and the customers are tremendous,” said Sonnier. “We always stay so busy. We have a lot of regulars that I love and we also get some great customers that are traveling the Interstate. We’re like one big team family here. Alphonso and Maynor treats us all like we are part of their family. They always make sure this place is happy and upbeat.”
