My name is Tommy “Daddy Bo” Wilson. I am an native of Orange Texas, where I have resided for 49 years. I graduated from West Orange Stark in 1985. After graduation I was employed at Dupont for nineteen years as a contractor. I later went on to work at Invista where I was an operator for ten years but was affected by the massive layoff last year. I am presently employed at Calabrian/INEOS.

Throughout the years, I have dedicated countless hours to the community by volunteering as a little league basketball, football and baseball coach. I am a member of Mount Olive Baptist church where I serve as a board trustee. My social club memberships includes Krewe De Onxy and the Horseshoe Riders of Orange Texas.

Why I would like to serve on WOCCISD School Board? With grandchildren, family and many friends enrolled in West Orange, I want to ensure that they are allowed the best education possible. I would love to see our district have a better curriculum and ensure college readiness. There is a need for improved recruitment and retention of highly-qualified teachers. We currently have three critical administrative positions open. I would like to ensure that those positions are occupied by professionals who hold genuine interest in bettering our school district.

If you believe in my vision please vote for Tommy “Daddy Bo” Wilson, #4 on your ballot.
