WEST ORANGE — The District 22-4A champion Bridge City Lady Cardinals made quick work of West Orange-Stark Tuesday night, downing the Lady Mustangs 20-1 in three innings at Lady Mustang Field.

Kassidy Wilbur pitched one inning for the Lady Cardinals, striking out three batters. Summer Black tossed the other two innings for Bridge City, allowing one hit while fanning three.

Wilbur hit a grand slam home run and had four runs batted in and scored twice.

Black was 2-for-2 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.

Jalynne Burch went 2-for-2 with a RBI and a run scored. Carley Simon was 2-for-3 with a double.

Aleah McClanahan went 1-for-2 with a RBI and two runs scored while Caitlin Denison was 1-for-2 with a RBI and two runs scored.

The Lady Cardinals will close out the regular season at home Friday night against Hamshire-Fannett while the Lady Mustangs (0-9 in district) will visit Orangefield.
