BEAUMONT — LifeShare is having a crawfish boil and community blood drive at The Compro Event Center, 4155 W Cardinal Dr., on Friday, April 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The public is invited to come donate blood and receive a flat of crawfish with corn and potatoes, as well as a LifeShare t-shirt.

About 1 in 7 people entering a hospital need blood for life-saving treatments associated with cancer, trauma accidents, blood disorders, surgeries and many other reasons, “This is a fun way for people to come out and help their community and enjoy some crawfish as well.  During the six years we have had this crawfish boil and blood drive almost 750 blood donors have helped people in our area,” says Brooke Hulett, Center Manager, LifeShare Blood Centers.
