Lady Cardinals rough up WO-S

BRIDGE CITY — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals pounded out a 19-0 victory over the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs in three innings at Lady Cardinal Field Friday night.

The win pushes the Lady Cardinals to 3-1in 22-4A play while the Lady Mustangs dropped to 0-4.

Kassidy Wilbur got the win on the hill for the Lady Cardinals with Summer Black finishing the game in the third frame.

Wilbur was 4-for-4 at the plate and roped two home runs to go along with two doubles and six runs batted in.

Natalie Reed was 1for-2 with a RBI and Carley Simon was 1-for-1 with one RBI.

The Lady Cardinals will visit Hamshire-Fannett Tuesday while the Lady Mustangs return home to host Orangefield.

The Lady Cardinals are tied with LC-M and Silsbee atop the 22-4A standings with 3-1 marks.
