Man dies after falling from a moving vehicle on McFaddin Beach

PRESS RELEASE — At approximately 5:00p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a fatal incident on McFaddin Beach in Jefferson County.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 19-year-old male from Port Arthur was standing on the running board of a H3 Hummer.  As the vehicle drove on the beach, the male fell off the running board.

The 19-year-old male was transported by private vehicle to St. Mary’s hospital in Port Arthur where he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Hummer, an 18-year-old male from Port Arthur, and three (3) other passengers were not injured.

Justin Joseph Guillory, 19, from Port Arthur, was pronounced deceased at St. Mary’s hospital after falling from a moving vehicle.  The fatal incident occurred on McFaddin Beach late yesterday afternoon.

This is an ongoing investigation as Troopers work to determine the exact factors that contributed to this fatal crash.  At this time, Troopers have not filed any charges.
