Bobcats nab two big wins in Lumberton tourney

LUMBERTON — The Orangefield Bobcats defeated Buna in the Lumberton Tournament Friday by a score of 11-1.  Mack Patterson threw a five-inning complete game to pick up the win, scattering four hits.  Dylan Anthony led the Bobcats with 4 four hits.  Kent
Michael, Brett Fregia, and Mason Gonzales each collected two hits, and Mack Patterson collected three RBI.  The Bobcats move to 7-1 on the season.

The Bobcats defeated Lumberton 18-1 to finish out the Lumberton Tournament Saturday.  Ryon Stubblefield earned the win, going four innings, allowing three hits, with six strikeouts.  Stubblefield also collected three hits on the day including a double.  Payton Lathrop, Brett Fregia, and Kent Michael also collected two hits each.  Mason Gonzales drove in five runs on the day.

The Bobcats will compete in the Hallettsville Tournament Thursday through Saturday.
