PRESS RELEASE — On 02-22-17 at 6:34 PM, Officers of the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 8400 block of N. Hwy 62 in reference to a traffic accident with injuries involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The 49 year old male operating the motorcycle was treated at the scene by Acadian Ambulance paramedics and Orange Fire Department first responders. He was then transported by Air Rescue Helicopter to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital where he died of his injuries. The accident is under investigation by the Detective Division of the Orange Police Department.
