BC lifters fare well in Nederland

NEDERLAND — The Bridge City Powerlifting teams competed in the Nederland Invitational Thursday.

The girls finished the meet in second place and the boys brought home third place.

Individual results are as follows:

Junior, Shania Dies placed fourth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 560 pounds;

Freshman, Gracie Martin placed sixth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 345 pounds;

Freshman, Sadie Stone placed third in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 525 pounds;

Junior, Cassandra Collazo placed third in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 500 pounds;

Sophomore, Jadyn Cunningham placed fourth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 480 pounds;

Freshman, Hannah Kincannon placed fifth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 440 pounds;

Sophomore, Lacey Pender placed fourth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 630 pounds;

Senior, Carlee Dearing placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 715 pounds;

Senior, Sam Hargrave placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 700 pounds;

Junior, Kimber Ellender placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 610 pounds; and

Sophomore, Chloe LeJeune placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 675 pounds.

For the boys:

Sophomore, Alex Williams placed fifth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 665 pounds;

Senior, Preston Peterson placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 785 pounds;

Sophomore, Martin Floyd placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 745 pounds;

Senior, Ian Palermo placed first in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,040 pounds;

Senior, Tristan Bigler placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,015 pounds;

Sheldon Becker placed fifth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 735 pounds;

Senior, Keagan Landry placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,095 pounds;

Senior, Jamison Thomas placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,285 pounds;

Sophomore, Jack Fontenot placed fifth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,240 pounds;

Freshman, Santos Garcia placed fourth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 990 pounds; and

Senior, Seth Green placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,355 pounds.

 

These young ladies and gentlemen represented Bridge City well.  The will next participate at the Bridge City Invitational Meet which will be on February 16 starting around 5.
