Area lifters rack up at LC-M Invitational

LITTLE CYPRESS — On Thursday the Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Orangefield and West Orange-Stark Powerlifting teams competed in the LC-M Invitational Meet.

The LC-M Boys took first-place with a total of 60 points. This was their third meet of the season and third time to claim the top spot. The Girls placed Fourth in team standings with 21 points.

Individual standings for the boys include first place winners Hunter Angelo – 148 weight class, 1,145 total; Victor Davila – 165 weight class, 1,120 total;

Ethan McKay – 181 weight class, 1,165 total; Alex Reed – 198 weight class 1,275 total; Trent Brown – 220 weight class 1,115 total; Colt LeBleu – 275 weight class, 1,430 total; and Jeremiah Armstrong – super heavy weight, 1,775 total.

Coming in Second, Third, Fourth and Sixth, respectively, were Lucas Russell – 220 weight class, 1,115 total; Grant LaCour – 275 weight class, 1,210 total; Jordan Parks – 275 weight class, 1,160 total; and Malik Griffin – 220 weight class, 950 total.

Two of the Lady Bears took first: Ceideah Walker – 105 weight class, 325 total and Breanna Dyson – 259+ weight class, 685 total. Others who placed are Sarah Bates – 181 weight class, 475 total, Third, Sydney McGraw – 181 weight class, 330 total, Fourth; Alexis Trichell – 148 weight class, 480 total, Fifth and Krystal Alicea – 198 weight class, 500 total, Fifth.

For Orangefield In the Boy’s division, finishing 2nd were Gavin Jackson in the 114 class, David Fear in the 198 class and Aaron Galitz in the SHW class. Finishing 3rd was Quy Tsan (148’s), Joseph Auer (181’s) and Luke Padilla in the SHW class.

In the Girl’s division, finishing 1st was Madison Taylor in the 123 class with a total lift of 715 lbs. Madison was also named Outstanding Lifter on the Light Platform. Linh Tsan also finished 1st in the 114 class with a total lift of 475 lbs. 2nd place finishers were Erica Phillips (114’s), Julia Droll (165’s) and Bailey Cady in the 198s.

For West Orange-Stark Boys in the 165 class Kavyn Cooper was 3rd with a 895 total and Steven Wilkerson was 5th with a 825 total

In the 198 class Shemar Manaway was 3rd with a 755 total. In the 220 class Ja’Qualan Coleman was 3rd with a 1,060 total In the SHW class Adrick Mims was 5th with a 1,050 total.

For the WO-S girls in the 148 class: E’lazian Nickerson was 1st with a 650 and in the 165 class Kennedy Queen was 4th with a 605 total.
