The Bridge City 7th grade red team defeated Orangefield 29-26 Monday evening to clinch the district title. Bridge City not only won the district title but was also undefeated in district play.  Reesie Ryder did an outstanding job leading the Cardinals on both offense and defense with 12 points, 10 steals and 2 assist. Hannah Varnon had an outstanding game grabbing 10 rebounds and contributing 7 points. Hannah Murchison rebounded big for the Cardinals also with 10 rebounds as well and contributing 4 points and 4 steals. Hillary Bower, Emma Gaspard and Caryss Carpenter all dropped in 2 points each as well. The Cardinals finished 6-0 in district play and 9-1 on the season.
