Special to The Leader
The Ochs Family Toys for Tots campaign is collecting toys for less fortunate children in Orange, Jefferson and Hardin counties.
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the Orange, Jefferson and Hardin counties. With this in mind, supporting businesses and community groups throughout the three counties have collection boxes set up which helps The Ochs Family Toys for Tots campaign with a portion of the roughly 5,000 toys required to ensure that the children are afforded a happy and joyous holiday season.
Donations are needed this year for children in all age groups in Orange, Jefferson and Hardin counties. Companies, individuals and organizations can help by donating new, unwrapped toys and/or monetary donations. Your monetary support is used to purchase toys in the age groups we need.
For more information on how you can donate you may go online to:

We would like to have all donations collected by Friday, December 16th so we can distribute them to the families and charities.  However, we will accept donations through Christmas. If you have a large amount of donations, and are unable to bring them to us, we can make arrangements to have a staff member bring a trailer and pick-up your donations.
