Navy Park Splash Pad will be the center of attention on Sunday as citizens gather around for a family day of fun.

Brothers Beating Odds Inc. is hosting a Labor Day Weekend Family Outing 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday for family fun and outreaching to the community.

Stunting Hard Ridaz of Orange will be on hand during the event.

Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and tent as wagon rides, horseback rides, games, jump house and dunking booths are included in the planned activities.

Music and food will also be available.

“It is a kid friendly event,” Founder and President of Brothers Beating Odds Inc. Larry Nelson said. “It is about creating more activities and to make something better.”

The organization wants to create more activities to help improve the area.

As well as fun and games, an opportunity to become a registered voter will be available. October 11 is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election in November.

Citizens initially voiced negative opinions concerning the opening of the Navy Park Splash Pad. Organizations have since joined together to help raise funds to improve the site.
