Orangefield High School sent 19 students to compete at the Region 3-4A Academic Contest on Saturday, April 23rd.  Six of those students qualified to compete at the State Academic meet which will be held at The University of Texas in Austin on May 24th and 25th.  Savannah Agee placed 1st in Computer Applications-sponsored by Misty Bellard; Rebekah Newell placed 1st in News Writing, Allie Crouch placed 3rd in Editorial Writing-sponsored by Rachel Taylor; Scarlett Neely placed 3rd in Lincoln Douglas Debate, Casey Smith placed 3rd in Current Events-sponsored by Courtney Rice; Anna VanPelt placed 2nd in Spelling and Vocabulary-sponsored by Paula Droddy.
