Special to The Leader

The Kingdom Zoo: Wildlife Center, 1605 Strickland in Pinehurst, will open its doors to the public from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. Sat. April 16.

Admission is only a $5 minimum donation with a max of $20 per family.

The facility features 56 species of small animals from six continents and is operated by Chester and Lisa Moore.

“We are a micro zoo. We focus on the small, obscure and beautiful and we have quite a collection. Our hope is to show people a unique side of God’s Creation in an intimate setting,” Chester said.

There will be photo opportunities with animals, guided tours and a Q&A session with Chester and Kingdom Zoo: Wildlife Center officials.
