Lou Ann “MeMe” McKinley

Lou Ann “MeMe” McKinley, 62, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 19, 1953, to Bobbie Diggs and James Jefferson Gaston, Jr., in Fort Worth.

Lou Ann worked for many years with the OCARC, assisting people with special needs. She enjoyed living on the Sabine River. She loved animals and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and “MeMe”.

Survivors include her husband of twenty-five years husband, Monte McKinley, of Orange; son, Billy Ray Kinsey and his wife, Stephanie, of Hamshire; daughter, Randi Carr and her husband, Todd, of Longview; grandchildren, Allison, Cayden, Andi and Nya; brother, Buster Gaston and his wife, Theresa, of Pleasington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of Mrs. McKinley’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at First Baptist Church Hamshire, 25304 Hwy 124, Hamshire. A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
