Special to The Leader

ORANGE — “The life of a writer is commentary”, Cheryl Beasley said about being a published author.

Beasley was born in Orange to Edward and Georgia Beasley, graduated from West Orange Stark High School in 1996; then went on to earn her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University in 2001. She worked as a Structural Design Engineer, in the Aerospace Industry for 13-plus years.

During this time, although English tends to be one of the challenging subjects for engineering students, she developed a love for writing. She started off writing poems, which many were published and recognized through the International Society of Poets. Then, in 2006, she submitted her first children’s book, ‘Piano Paradise: My Piano Has A Big Secret’, to PublishAmerica, who offered her her first book contract, and published under her alias, Elerya. After that, she published another book in the Piano Paradise series, along with a poetry book, ‘So Far, Yet So Near.’ Now having received the publishing rights back from some of her books; she has now self-published them through Amazon.com, that can be found in the Kindle Store; Piano Paradise still under author name, Elerya. She has also self-published multiple other books, including the ‘Acronym’ series, ‘Poetry for the Soul: The Blessings of Not Giving Up’; ‘I Can Grow: An Ant’s Tale’, and the first book in the series of ‘Gifts: What’s Being Revealed.’ Coming this fall, the second book of the Piano Paradise series will re-fire.

In 2014, she created a Christian non-profit with the mission to assist ministries, organizations, entrepreneurs, and the disabled.

“God blesses us to learn things, that through our experience, we are able to help and assist others,” Beasley said. “I have a passion for God, and I’m a natural techie; with a passion for technology. I also understand, especially dealing with Christian organizations and businesses that a good amount of their finances and increase goes to helping others. This is why God put the desire in my heart to assist them, at no out of pocket cost.”

So, in order to be able to expand her reach and help as many as possible, she created ‘Zero Cost Solutions’, http://zerocostsolution.wix.com/tech; where she has posted free trainings and provided resource links to free software, financial assistance programs, and technology assist.

Among all these talents of this engineer, founder, and author; she also is an entrepreneur. She is currently gearing up her company, Bethe’l Company, http://bethelcompany.wix.com/inspire, to create crowdfunding platforms for organizations and future entrepreneurs. She also is a Tax Professional at ComproTax in Orange, TX.

The closing remarks of this Sunday School teacher stated, “Everything in my life that is praiseworthy, comes from God. I pray my life inspires and provokes others to desire to know Jesus, build others, and allow them to see the love of Christ in and through our lives. We are not perfect, our God is, but we are still under daily construction. And in recognizing that, we can show others, through our lives in Christ; lessons learned, experience gathered, and wisdom passed on; that others have that same opportunity to grow and be instruments of great change in the lives of others and this world.”
