The Scottish Society of Southeast Texas will meet on Thursday, January 14 in the Parlor of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 1350 N. 23rd St at Gladys, Beaumont. A potluck supper will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program. Mary Sue Williams, Society member, will tell the story of ROBERT LINTON, “SURGEON OR SHOWMAN.”   Born in Linlithgow, Scotland in 1794, he was a practicing surgeon in 19th century Scotland and England.
