Mr. Bobby Gene Castleman, Sr. age 79 died Thursday January 7, 2016 at a Kirbyville, TX nursing home.

He was born September 24, 1936 in Brady, TX. He formerly owned and operated Bob’s General Store in Kirbyville as well as Castleman’s Trucking Co. and drove a truck for Schlitz Beer Co.

There will be a visitation from 5 until 7:00 PM Friday January 8, 2016 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper, TX and his funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday January 9, 2016 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Magnolia Springs Cemetery.

He is survived by sons, Alex Dale Castleman of Beaumont and Bobby Castleman, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Dallas, daughters, Karen Sue Byerly and domestic partner Alan Powell of Orange, Donna Lynn Gilley and husband Joe of Silsbee and Lana Castleman of Beaumont, TX, brother, Jerry Castleman and wife Mary of Bastrop, TX, sister Wanda Dalby and husband Bobby of Dallas, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Opal Castleman, brothers, Harold, H.D. “Chubby”, and Cassie Castleman and sisters Evelyn Wayland and Betty Sanders.
