Elsie Jackson

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
On Saturday, December 12, 2015, Elsie Jackson departed this life at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La.  Born to the union of Dolman Jackson, Sr. and Maude Phillip Jackson. She was a 1965 graduate of Magnolia High School, St. James, La and a business graduate of Southern University A&M of Baton Rouge, La. She was employed by Tenneco Oil for over 40 years. Elsie leaves her treasured memories to her sisters, Shirley Ray, Rose Ann Bottley, and Angela(Robert)Cayette, one brother Dolman Jackson, Jr.(Bertha) and a host of nieces, nephews,  great nieces, great nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and two sisters, Virginia Steib and Maude Cayette.  The presence of relatives and friends, neighboring communities of Vacherie, especially Magnolia High School class of 1965,  will be greatly appreciated to join with the family for the celebration of life on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Hwy. 644, Vacherie, La. Visitation begins at 9:00AM. Fr. Christopher Decker officiating. Arrangements of her final care are entrusted to Treasures of Life Center for Life Funeral Services, 315 E.
