Orangefield hosting Tennison Memorial Tournament

ORANGEFIELD — Orangefield High School will be hosting the Bill Tennison Memorial Tournament Thursday through Saturday at Bobcat Gym.

Girls games Thursday at the new gym includes FTCA vs. Jasper (9:30 a.m.), Orangefield vs. Jasper (12:30 p.m.), Tatum vs. Kelly (3:30 p.m.) and Orangefield vs. Nederland (6:30 p.m.). Girls games at the old gym Thursday includes PN-G vs. Nederland (9:30 a.m.), Tatum vs. WO-S (11 a.m.), Vidor vs. East Chambers (12:30 p.m.), PN-G vs. FTCA (2 p.m.), WO-S vs. Vidor (3:30 p.m.) and East Chambers vs. Kelly (6:30 p.m.).

Girls games at the new gym Friday includes WO-S vs. East Chambers (9:30 a.m.), Orangefield vs. FTCA (12:30 p.m.), Vidor vs. Kelly (3:30 p.m.), and Orangefield vs. PN-G (6:30 p.m.). Games at the old gym Friday includes Tatum vs. Vidor (9:30 a.m.), Kelly vs. WO-S (11 a.m.), Nederland vs. Jasper (12:30 p.m.), East Chambers vs. Tatum (2 p.m.), Jasper vs. PN-G (3:30 p.m.) and FTCA vs. Nederland (6:30 p.m.).

The Lady Bobcats defeated Beaumont Kelly ion non-district action 60-12 last Friday.

Bethany Green led the Lady Bobcats with 14 points and seven rebounds. Sabryn Crain had 11 points, five rebounds and three steals. Rebekah Newell scored 10 points while Emmi Lummus had five rebounds and 15 steals.

The Bridge City Lady Cardinals finished the New Braunfels Tournament with 2 loses to Clemons by a score of 56-24 and A&M Consolidated with a score of 61-26 This gives the Bridge City Cardinals a 5-8 season record and 0-0 in district play.

The LCM Bears beat Woodville 41-33 in the Nederloand Tournament.  Andrew Daspit led LCM with 15 pts and Katon Brown added 11 pts and 11 rebounds.
