Bridge City Chamber of Commerce 7th Annual Christmas Light Parade Marshal announced

The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce announced it has named Kirk Roccaforte as the Grand Parade Marshal for this year’s 7th Annual Christmas Light Parade.  The announcement was made at the Chamber’s November Networking Coffee hosted by Bridge City Bank.  Chamber Board Member and Parade Chairman Lucy Fields to commemorate the occasion presented Mayor Roccaforte an acrylic award.

 

Mayor Kirk Roccaforte was born in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Carlo and Marilyn Roccaforte.  Kirk has four brothers: Mark, Don, Chuck and Danny and one sister Julie.  Roccaforte graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1971.  He moved to Bridge City in 1975.  Kirk and his wife Shirley of 37 years have two grown children Cristal Dubois and Aaron Roccaforte.  Cristal is married to Coach Dwayne Dubois and they have two children Camden and Caleb.  Aaron works at his dad’s shop and is married to Chrisleigh and they have one son Trent.  Kirk and Shirley Roccaforte own and operate Bridge City Radiator & Automotive Repair.

 

Kirk was elected Mayor of Bridge City in 2006 and will finish his 5th term as Mayor in May 2016.  He also serves on the Board of Directors at the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce and is 1st Vice President of the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission.  Kirk also is a long time member of the Bridge City-Orangefield Rotary Club and Past President.

2008 Bridge City Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year

2008 Orange Leader Citizen of the Year

2009 Club of Southeast Texas Newsmaker of the Year

2009 SETRPC Extraordinary Service and Commitment Award
