Honoring Victoria Enmon

This week, the UTMB and TDCJ staff have raised $1,000 in the last 3 days to be in accordance with SECC standards for the Children’s Miracle Network to support Texas Children’s Hospital in honor of Orange resident Victoria Enmon, who passed away in 2008 at age 15 from leukemia. We had a balloon release in her honor and also to honor those who have lost loved ones to cancer at the Mark Stiles Unit. Bake sales were held by UTMB employees and UTMB and TDCJ employees at all 3 facilities on the complex contributed for the cause. Close to 250 balloons were bought by employees to honor family members and loved ones they have either lost or gotten a “second chance” to be with. Extra-life.org was created after the passing of Victoria ‘Tori’ Enmon, and so far millions have been raised to find a cure. Stormy Godeaux-Enmon, Victoria’s sister in law, will be gaming for a 24 hour period trying to raise money for her team, created on Extra-Life called “Tori’s Tribe”, on Saturday, November 7.
