Special to The Leader

Advocates for Children, Inc. “A CASA Program” CASA is a non-profit organization that trains and empowers volunteers to be the voice for abused and neglected children in our court system and community to help guide them to a safe and permanent home.

We are pleased to announce several big and positive changes in our program that will enable our staff, volunteers, and contributors to reach even more children in the six counties we serve.

Advocates for Children, Inc. “A CASA Program” will now be known as CASA of the Sabine Neches Region as of October 30th, 2015. We are pleased to identify with two remarkable landmarks of our area that will be recognizable to many. We currently serve Orange, Hardin, Tyler, Sabine, Jasper, and Newton Counties.

In alignment with the adoption of a new name we will be releasing our new website www.casasnr.org and changing our name Facebook page to CASA of the Sabine Neches Region, (https://www.facebook.com/AFC.CASA ) please take a moment and go like our Facebook page. This will allow you to see all the great things our program is doing for the children in our community and you will be able to see how you can get involved and make a difference.

We welcome our 50 active volunteers, who are the lifeblood of our organization, and our new board members that will bring exciting new ideas and hard work to see this endeavor succeed. If you would like to invest in the life of a child, and become a part of our CASA family, please call (409) 886-CASA (2272) for more information.

We are indeed grateful to the members of our faithful community that work tirelessly beside us to see children reached and helped when they need it most. Thanks to our generous contributors, CASA of the Sabine Neches Region issued the final payment on our office today and now we are even more excited to announce we are now 100% debt free! We would like to say a special thank you to Gisela Houseman for supporting our program through the years and for working with our program in building this beautiful office.

As in any growing ministry, we welcome new supporters and continuously reaching out for new volunteers to become the voice of every child in foster care. In 2014 our program served over 300 children in our local area, every child in foster deserves a voice. Please consider investing in the life of a child, it requires 10-12 hours a month to truly make a difference.

Last but certainly not least we would like to announce our next big event “Fill Up The Truck” Christmas toy drive. We are very excited to partner with Sabine River Ford and our local community to be able to provide the best Christmas for each one of our deserving children we serve. We will be collecting unwrap gifts for all ages throughout the Orange County school districts and Sabine River Ford the first week of December. You may also drop off donations at Complete Staffing and Tiger-Rock Martial Arts in Bridge City. For information on how you can make a difference this Christmas please call Nikki @ (409) 886-CASA (2272)

“Where would you be today if no one invested in you?” Please join with CASA of the Sabine Neches Region and let’s make a difference in the lives of the innocent children who deserve a brighter future.
