Lawrence Joseph “Larry” Monceaux

Vinton- Lawrence Joseph “Larry” Monceaux, 71, died Friday, October 23, 2015, in a local hospice.
He was a native of Lake Arthur and had been a resident of Vinton for over 40 years. Larry was a member of Boilermakers Local 587 in Orange, Texas and also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Monceaux of Vinton; two children, Laura Jean Tipton and husband, Bubba of Orange, Texas and Jeffrey Glenn Monceaux, Sr. and wife, Kathy of Bridge City, Texas; his siblings, Harold Monceaux of Port Arthur, Texas, Jimmy Monceaux of Sulphur, and Wanda Frederick of Vinton; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mary Monceaux; a grandson, Kobe Reece Tipton; eight brothers; and one sister.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, October 26, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Deacon Jesse Menard will officiate. Burial will be in Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery in Vinton. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Monceaux Sr, Jeffrey Monceaux Jr, Bubba Tipton, Brandon Tipton, Corey Wallace, and Jarrett Tarver. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
