The Orangefield Lady Bobcats went on the road and took down the Bridge City Lady Cardinals 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 to take a big District 24-4A volleyball win to start the second half of district play.

The win pushes the Lady Bobcats to 5-2 in district as they stand in second-place while the Lady Cardinals dropped to 3-4.

Sabryn Crain led the Lady Bobcats with 13 kills, seven digs, two blocks and two aces. Julianne McManus contributed 10 kills, seven digs and two assists. Rebekah Newell notched five blocks, three kills and two digs. Anna VanPelt posted six aces, including four straight at one point and added three kills.

Ashlyn Turley set up the offense well with 21 assists, eight digs, four aces, two blocks and two kills.

The Lady Bobcats will host LC-M Friday while the Lady Cardinals visit Hamshire-Fannett.
