It has been a busy past four months since I first started in this position. Orange County has been so welcoming, and I am enjoying all the great people I have met and places I have seen! As summer dies down, our fall programs are starting up. On September 29th, our Master Gardener Association will start training new members, meeting twice a week in the evenings. We would like to invite you to our monthly programs every second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Orange County Expo Center on FM 1442 here in Orange.

Our Master Naturalist Chapter is busy with beach clean ups among many other things!

We will also, be hosting the District 9 Texas Agriculture Agents Training here in Orange County.

We also have a beekeeping program going on, and are looking forward to a new class starting in the first part of 2016 that will carry on for twelve months.

Furthermore, we will have a Beef Symposium October 27, 2015 with six counties participating here at the Expo center for a great time! We are always looking for volunteers, and have many opportunities available!

We have a lot of great things happening here in Orange County, and we are continuing to strive to deliver great information and programs to you. Many ask me what an Ag Agent does. So for you all out there wondering what it is that I do – I provide agricultural information to you that is researched backed, and I help you in finding a solution to your agriculture problem. Whether it is an oak tree problem, crop issues, pond management, or even lawn questions; I am here for you! So don’t hesitate to give the office a call we are here to serve you in many capacities like youth development, family development, health and nutrition, and agriculture and natural resources!
