BEAUMONT — The Deweyville Lady Pirates came away with four victories in pool play at the YMBL Tournament Thursday.

The Lady Pirates defeated Evadale, Legacy Christian, Chester, and Bob Hope Charter in pool action.

Deweyville defeated Evadale 25-21, 25-19.  Deweyville had 20 kills and 10 digs from Kennidee Willis, 21 assists, eight digs, and an ace from Shaylin Dupuy, and 16 digs, four assists and one ace from Gabby Dupuy.

The Lady Pirates defeated Legacy 25-13, 25-12.  Willis had 20 kills, three aces, and eight digs in that match.  Shaylin Dupuy had 19 assists and four digs, while Loren Thompson contributed six assists and an ace.  Gabby Dupuy threw in 12 digs, two kills, and two aces.  Bri Sims had seven digs and an ace.

Against the Chester Lady Jackets, Deweyville won 25-13, 25-17.  Bri Sims had five aces and six digs, Mallory Hand had three blocks, three aces, and two digs.  Kennidee Willis had 12 kills, two aces, and seven digs.  Shaylin Dupuy accounted for 13 assists, two aces, and five digs.

The final match of the day concluded with Deweyville winning against Bob Hope Charter School 25-11, 25-23.  Shaylin Dupuy had 11 assists, three aces, and two digs.  Kennidee Willis had 10 kills, and five digs.  Gabby Dupuy pitched in 11 digs.

The wins improve the Deweyville record to 19-2 on the season.  They will be playing Kountze for their first district match Friday 9/11/15 with varsity beginning at 4:30.
