The Scottish Society of Southeast Texas will meet Thursday, Sept. 10 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 1350 23rd St. at Gladys in Beaumont. A light supper will be served followed by the program. The Back Porch Friends, dulcimer players who have been together 15 years, will perform and discuss music brought to America by Scottish and Irish immigrants.
