In 1882, the New York Labor Union organized a parade, which was mocked by many. However within 12 years the Labor Union earned the national holiday we now know as Labor Day. On this Labor Day, the City of Pinehurst celebrated the 15th annual Labor Day Senior Citizens Picnic at the Family Worship Center complex. This event attracted the young and young at heart from the entire county of Orange who enjoyed great company, food and music.
