L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles made the Top 10 Best U.S Casinos list chosen by USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice travel awards contest. The casino resort, awarded No. 4 nationally, was the top ranked non-tribal property on the list and beat out many well-known Las Vegas casinos.

USA Today 10Best teamed up with a panel of experts with extensive knowledge of the casino industry to pick 20 nominees as the best in the USA, and the final top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. 10Best voting was digital with one vote allowed per day during the four week contest period.

The top 10 winners in the category ‘Best U.S. Casino’ are as follows:

2. Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, Conn.)
3. Foxwoods Resort Casino (Mashantucket, Conn.)
4. L’Auberge Casino Resort (Lake Charles, La.)
5. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi (Biloxi, Miss.)
6. Harrah’s Resort Southern California (Valley Center, Calif.)
7. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, N.J.)
8. Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa (Las Vegas)
9. French Lick Resort (French Lick, Ind.)
10. Thunder Valley Casino Resort (Lincoln, Calif.)
