Friends of the Orange Depot to meet in July

The regular meeting of the Friends of the Orange Depot board and volunteers will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 5:00PM for refreshments, 5:30 PM, meeting, at the Grace Lutheran Church, 2300 Eddleman Road, Orange.
Any new Orange area residents who would like to help work on this county-wide project are encouraged to come to the meeting.  The organization has two special events coming up and would welcome newcomers.
Engraved brick sales are continuing, and if anyone would like to donate a brick in honor of a family member or other loved one, please go on the website and print a brick form and mail it to P. O. Box 2654, Orange, TX  77631.  F.O.O.D volunteers have raised more than half of the needed funds to renovate this important historical landmark, but more donations are needed from Orange County residents to enable the organization to begin construction, which is scheduled to be fourth quarter of this year.
Volunteers will soon be calling on local merchants seeking sponsors for their large gala scheduled for November 12, 2015, at the Orange County EXPO Center.
