Special to The Leader

For the convenience of parents, as well as greater efficiency and effectiveness in the registration process, Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD will implement an online registration system through Skyward Family Access for the 2015-2016 school year. Skyward Family Access is the online system many parents currently use to check their children’s grades and attendance. To confirm their credentials, parents should verify their login credentials before June 15. 2015.
Superintendent Dr. Pauline Hargrove sent a letter to parents of all students enrolled in LCM schools in May, explaining the new registration program, and asking them to use the information provided in that letter to sign into the system to confirm that their username and password worked. This is to assure that each account can be accessed by the parent when registration opens on August 1, 2015. It will continue through August 24. Students will not receive their fall class assignments or schedules until parents have logged on and verified their account information.
Many already have signed in to verify their information, but there are still parents of 991 students who need to do so. In previous years, some parents have used their students’ sign in information to check grades. That will not work for the online registration process. Parents must use their own credentials for registration. To verify that you can register your child in August, go to www.lcmcisd.org and under “Online Registration,” in the yellow column on the right, select the second “here” link. That links directly to the Skyward system. If the login ID and password that you were given do not work, please call Debbie Stephenson at 409-883-2232, extension 2380 or extension 2000 for the Technology Department for assistance.
The first “here” link under “Online Registration” links to detailed instructions to complete the process. Computer access for those without Internet access at home will be provided on each campus. Parents with children on multiple campuses will only need to visit one of those campuses to register online. The new procedure will eliminate the need for parents to complete the many duplicate pages of information for each child. Those who have returning students will have an even shorter process, since the information already in the system will only need to be verified if no changes need to be made.
