Police seeking clues in stabbing of elderly man and woman

VIDOR — Authorities are asking for assistance from the public in finding a vehicle which may help provide answers in the deaths of a man and woman.

The Vidor Police Department is investigating the stabbing deaths of two people in the 300 block of North Timberlane in Vidor. Police were called to the scene at approximately 11 p.m., Thursday, after family members reportedly found the bodies after going to the house to check on a resident of the house.
According to reports, the body of the unidentified man, who is said to be in his 80s, was found in the hallway, while the woman’s body was located in a chair in the house.
A vehicle, a 2006 Chevrolet truck with a bed cover, is being sought. The truck has a Texas license plate, which is CA9-1850.
The identifes of the deceased man and woman have not been released and the case remains under investigation by the Vidor Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Beaumont Police Department.
