VIDOR — Sinks contributed to Hushpuppy’s Seafood located at 1202 North Main Street in Vidor receiving an 87 out of a possible 100 health score during a recent inspection.

Hot water was not available at the rest room sink and a hand washing sink was not in the kitchen/prep area. The report also noted a storage trailer was in need of being cleaned as well as the area around the fryers. The restaurant was given 30 days to have a certified food manager on staff.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop located at 110 Strickland Drive in Orange, was given 10 days to obtain the required Food Service Permit during a recent health inspection. The restaurant received a 91 out of a possible 100 for needing to clean the floors and outside of equipment of old foods.

Not having a required food manager on staff or Food Service Permit contributed to The Donut Palace, located at 5320 North Farm to Market Road 105 in Vidor, to receive a 94 out of a possible 100 during an inspection.

Two Amigo’s Mexican Restaurant, located at 3130 16th Street in Orange, was also given 10 days to obtain a Food Service Permit during an inspection. The establishment also received demerits for floors, shelves inside a walk-in cooler and equipment in need of being cleaned of old foods. The score was a 94.

A bag of candy found on the food line caused Casa Ole #47, located at 1015 North Main Street in Vidor, to receive a 96 out of a possible 100 during a health inspection.

Paul’s Seafood Connection, located at 7226 State Hwy. 12 in Vidor, was given 30 days to have a certified food manager on staff. The score was 97 out of a possible 100.

Several dead roaches in a storage room at Pertotex Fuels/Shell Food, located at 115 East Freeway in Vidor, caused the business to receive a 97 out of a possible 100 for a recent inspection.
