DALLAS — Police in Dallas are accusing a man of taking off with a Little Debbie truck and selling some of the goods inside at a steep discount.
Dallas television station KXAS reports (http://bit.ly/18HC2QZ ) that the driver came outside a supermarket Thursday to find his truck gone. He spotted it on a road a short time later and called police, who stopped it and detained the driver, 48-year-old Anthony Thompson.
Thompson admitted to leaving 100 boxes of cakes at a nearby address. Someone at that location allegedly told police he paid $5 a box. Each box was worth about $50. Ninety boxes were recovered.
Thompson is charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and being held on $15,000 bond. Jail records didn't list an attorney.
