ORANGE — Yard Sale

Maranatha Christ Center, 7879 N. Hwy 87 in Orange, will hold a yard, plant and link sale from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27. Items include clothes for all seasons for men, women and children, furniture, electronics, housewares, shoes purses, artwork and more.

Cheer Clinic

Community Christian School will be hosting its annual cheer clinic from 9 a.m. - noon, Saturday, April 27 at 1911 N. 16th St. in Orange. Cost is $30 for girls in K5 – 6th grades, and $5 for a picture of your cheerleader. Snacks are provided and a performance at 11:30 a.m. for the parents. Garage/Craft sale

Come have your Garage/Craft Sale with us from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at the Lamar Student Activities Building, 403 Green Ave. in Orange. GOALS wil provide a table/spot for $25 each. Reserve your table at 409-886-4311 or 409-553-1478. Must be paid in advance. Set up will be Friday, April 26 from noon to 2:30 p.m. There will be books, household and baby items as well as handmade crafts, jewelery, etc.

Charity Fair

The charity fair for the Fraternal Order of Eagles is being held from 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, until midnight, at the VFW Hall in Orange. A motorcycle show will be held from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to enter their bike. A prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. For more information contact Sharon Bodin at 409-719-7793.

Bon Wier School Reunion

The Bon Wier School Reunion will be held starting at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 27, in the Fellowship Hall of Bon Wier Pentecostal Church. Anyone who ever attended school or had friends at Bon Wier is welcome to attend. Please bring a covered dish and photos. Call 409-783-2882 or 409-397-4337 for info.

Casino Bus Trip

Phi Delta Kappa Sorority is sponsoring a chartered bus to Coushatta Casino in Kinder, La. on Saturday, May 4. Cost is $10 per person. Departure is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and returning at 4 p.m. Call Linda at 409-670-8612 for more info.

    Texas 4-H Youth and Development 2014 Salute to Excellence Honoree is Kathy Hester of Orange County. Mrs. Hester has been a part of 4-H for over 30 years. She is the club manager for the Mighty Pirates 4-H in Vidor.
