A benefit will be held for cancer patient Dorothy Mathews of Vidor starting at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 20, in the parking lot of Market Basket in the 800 block of North Main Street in Vidor. Mathews is battling liver cancer and is on the transplant list. Proceeds will provide assistance with prescription medication. BBQ plates are $8 each and consist of brisket, link, potato salad, beans, and bread. Desserts and beverages will also be available. Donations welcome.
BAL Art Camp
The Beaumont Art League, 2675 Gulf St. in Beaumont, will hold a summer art camp for children ages 6-12 years. Sessions will be from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., July 15 - July19 and July 22 – July 26.
