Tuesdays with Morrie

The Orange Community Players present “Tuesdays with Morrie” at 7:37 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, and Thursday, Feb. 20 - Saturday, Feb. 22, and a matinee at 2:37 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23. Cost is $10-$15. Call 409-882-9137 for reservations.

Gumbo and Chili Sale

St. Therese Catholic Church, 1409 Sixth St. in Orange, will hold its annual Gumbo and Chili Sale from 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 in the Life Center. Cost is $8 per quart of gumbo or chili, and a variety of gumbo will be available. Delivery available for orders of five or more. Call the church at 409-883-3783 or 409-882-1768 for orders.

Coin show

The Greater Orange Coin Club Spring Show will be held from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, at the VFW Hall, 5303 N. 16th St. in Orange. Admission is $2 per adult. A youth auction will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday. Visit www.greaterorangecoinclub.com for info.

Lady Bear Link Sale

The LC-M Lady Bear Soccer Team will hold a link sale from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15 at Superior Tire, 1213 N. 16th St. in Orange. A link on bun, chips and drink will be sold for $5.

Vidor TOPS Chapter

The Vidor Chapter of TOPS meets at 7 p.m., every Monday, at First United Methodist Church, 501 N. Main in Vidor. Weigh-in is from 6 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Vidor Rotary

The Vidor Rotary Club meets at noon, every Monday, upstairs in the Capital One building on North Main Street.

Council meeting

The City of Bridge City will hold its regularly scheduled council meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, at City Hall, 260 Rachal in Bridge City. The public is welcome to attend.

    Texas 4-H Youth and Development 2014 Salute to Excellence Honoree is Kathy Hester of Orange County. Mrs. Hester has been a part of 4-H for over 30 years. She is the club manager for the Mighty Pirates 4-H in Vidor.
