Neches FCU to provide Exygon gym memberships to workforce

PORT NECHES — Neches Federal Credit Union announces that they have selected Exygon Health and Fitness Club, Beaumont and Mid-County’s premier fitness/wellness company, to be their employees’ exclusive gym provider. The partnership will be structured so that Neches FCU will pay the full cost for any of its more than 130 team members that wish to sign up for an Exygon membership.

“Corporate wellness programs are becoming commonplace in the workforce but many companies only pay for a portion of the gym benefits”, said Jason Landry, President and CEO of Neches FCU. “The Neches FCU and Exygon partnership will be the first of its kind locally, as employees will have the entire cost of membership paid for by the credit union.”

Exygon Health and Fitness founders, Eldon and Mike Albanese, echoed the sentiments saying, “We are excited to partner up with Neches Federal Credit Union. Studies consistently tell us that employees and their families who participate in a company fitness program are healthier, happier and more likely to stay with the employer, not to mention that the dollars invested in such a program reduce operating costs. Everybody wins.”

Neches FCU’s Vice President of Human Resources and Training, Scarlett Garsea, spearheaded the partnership.

“We strive to promote a healthy, fun, and fulfilling lifestyle for all of our employees”, said Garsea. “We feel that our partnership with Exygon further promotes our vision to be the preferred employer of Southeast Texas, in addition to boosting employee productivity and decreasing healthcare costs.”

Neches FCU employees will be able to begin using their credit union sponsored memberships in June.
