ORANGE — The City of Orange Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 1215 N. 3rd Street around 3 p.m., Wednesday. The first arriving unit reported moderate smoke and some flames coming from the attic. The house was unoccupied and the high winds in the area were fanning the flames so the fire spread quickly across the roof. Fire crews had to remove several roof coverings to get to the seat of the fire to extinguish it. They remained on the scene for over an hour removing roof materials to insure all the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported and the fire’s cause was unintentional, likely electrical in nature.
