Turkey Leg Sale

Saturday Adventure Series
Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, 2111 W. Park in Orange, will hold its Saturday Adventure Series from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 6. “Bird Ballet” will focus on the graceful activities of wading birds in Shangri La’s state-of-the-art heronry. Lamar University will host Erik Qualman – author of Socialnomics and social media and technology expert – at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, in the Galloway Business Building on the L.U. campus in Beaumont. The public is invited.
The monthly meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 11 at the Salvation Army building on the corner of MLK and Strickland in Orange. A potluck supper and the business meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. At the end of the meeting door prizes will be drawn. Any one interested in gardening is welcome to attend. Community Ed. Classes
Vidor ISD offers the following classes this semester through their adult Community Education program: Baby Steps Computer, Beginning Computer, Basic Windows, Pinterest, Basic Digital Photography, Gemology, iPhone, Android phones, Windows Phones, Toning and Conditiong, Creating a Bouquet with Cookies, Dog Obedience, Piano in Three Hours, and a Galveston Field Trip. Art Association Classes
Classes will be held for for Port Arthur Art Association for the month of April and two weeks in May with a new teacher for the group. Ann Hoffpauir will be the instructor and the class will paint a landscape.
If you are a member of the guild, it is $4 to paint, and $5 if you are not a member. The class meets each Friday at the Texas Artists Museum, 3501 Cultural Center Drive, from 12:30 until 2:30.
