Saturday Adventure Series
Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, 2111 W. Park in Orange, will hold its Saturday Adventure Series from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 30 for a “Morning Bird Stroll.” For first time bird spotters, this program will focus on using binoculars and field guides, while avid birders share their knowledge and expertise. Easter Sunrise Service
The Cowboy Church of Orange County, 673 FM 1078 in Orange, will hold its annual Sunrise Service at 7 a.m., Easter Sunday, March 31, and be held outdoors, behind the church, below a hill where a large wooden cross stands. Lutcher Stark Class Reunion
Attention all Tigers! The Lutcher Stark High School Classes of 1953 and 1955 will be hosting a reunion Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, at Sunset Grove Country Club in Orange. Community Shoe Drive
KLBT 88.1 Community Shoe Drive benefiting Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls will kick off April 1st and the final Shoe Marathon Day will be May 10th at KLBT Radio’s headquarters. Nederland Art Guild Classes
Every Tuesday in April, the Nederland Art Guild will be painting wine bottles at the Texas Artists Museum, located at 3501 Cultural Center Drive, from 3:30 until 5:30. Dues are $10 per year. If you are a member, you paint for $4. If you are not a member the cost is $5. For these classes a bottle to paint on will be provided. Brushes, paints, and patterns will be available, also. Art Association Classes
Classes will be held for for Port Arthur Art Association for the month of April and two weeks in May with a new teacher for the group. Ann Hoffpauir will be the instructor and the class will paint a landscape.
If you are a member of the guild, it is $4 to paint, and $5 if you are not a member. The class meets each Friday at the Texas Artists Museum, 3501 Cultural Center Drive, from 12:30 until 2:30.
